Track rats...HANS...??

I like the Necksgen since it doesn't add any thickness behind the helmet (the LWBs are already tonight spacing to my helmet).

Do you have buckets and 6pt harness? If so then HANS is strongly recommended. I have a HANS Sport II and like it. Lots of sources to buy on line. I also recently picked up a Simpson Hybrid FIA to use when driving cars with 3 pt belts. You can follow the sizing on the Simpson web site. I got mine from Apex Performance and would recommend them.

I went with the Simpson system. I had the Hahns in the past and didn't like the way it interfered with the cage when exiting the car. No issue with the Simpson.

HANS device fitting
Hans devices are based on two things
Neck size and seat back angle ( the angle of your chest when seated in the car).
For example, if you are a driver under 200 lbs and drive a sedan, you are most likely a model 20 which is the sport II, Hans III or professional/pro ultra 20
If you are barrel chested or over 200 or drive a formula car where your body is more reclined in the car, you would need a model 30 device which comes in the professional/pro ultra series or you could do an adjustable device
From experience, medium fits up to 16 to 16.5" neck, if you are 16.5" neck +, go with the large
The necksgen is not angle specific which is nice if you tend to drive various vehicles with different seat back angles. Say you are doing a PCA event in your 911 but plan to do skip barber in a formula car, the necksgen will work in both. You would need two Hans devices, most likely a model 20 for the 911 and a model 30 for skip barber (unless you go with the Hans adjustable)
Lots of info to digest. Feel free to call us with any questions on what will work best for you and your applications

(PS- I have a ~19"+ neck, ~52 jacket, ~41 waist and weigh ~265-270. Not 'barrel chested' rib cage, but wide back and thick chest back to front. Hope that helps.
