My Snowfree Window is Quickly Closing
I've been waiting for a few years to finally drive my own Porsche and it feels like Murphy's Law is doing everything to keep me waiting
So my RS arrived in San Antonio on Jan 8 and went over to XPEL for tint and a condom for the vulnerable spots on Jan 11; work was finished today. As a former customer of Intercity Lines and being impressed with their work, I decided that their white glove treatment was a match for the RS to get it to my current home in MD. Unfortunately I found out today that they can't pick it up until around the 25th due to the Barrett-Jackson Car Auction in Scottsdale, AZ!!
MD has been holding out on snow, but it's guaranteed to happen by the end of January. I'd love to provide the customary firsthand pics, but all I can do is offer up the initial delivery pics

Relax. You live in MD. Last year was an anomaly. Whatever snow you get will be shortly followed by rain washing the roads clean. I live in Boston and drive my car year-round.
BTW, congrats on the car.

I've had a few cocktails - but can't you just hire a different transport?

I checked into a couple other options and end up at roughly the same pickup date due to now being last minute. It's just some added anxiousness that I have to hold back now. My Mom always told me that patience is a virtue

I lived in Boston for 4 years, during what they called their worst winters in a generation (mid 2000s). I would not have driven a 911 year-round in Boston, it would have been too low to the ground for many of the snowstorms, and all the potholes.

I agree. I went to college in Boston and went through the April Fools Day Blizzard (27" one day, gone the next). The potholes are insane during the winter. Much respect for anyone who can navigate that battlefield from Dec-Mar/Apr!

lightweights........... or smart enough not to continue enduring New England weather, after we finished our education at your fine local university.
