Default Tire/wheel insurance- worth it?

My '16 GT3 is being delivered this week to my dealer. They asked me about this insurance today. It seems like a decent deal. Is it really as painless to use for scratches, rock chips, etc? I like that it's tranferrable and refundable (prorated).

Ha, totally, I never buy the 'extra warranties' on anything. But.....

I prefer to 'self insure'. If I need to buy a wheel or tire, etc... It doesn't affect me. So why pay for something I may not use. I also keep all my deductibles as high as possible.

If you live in NYC, buy it. Otherwise, it's not necessary.

Exactly my thoughts! I like to have my high end cars under warranty when the factory warranty expires, because I would hate to shell out lots of $$ for a new motor or transmission. A wheel or tire is no big deal. I also agree with high deductible on everything (auto insurance, health insurance, etc)

It ported last week and just got put on a truck today in TX headed up to MN to get checked in at the dealer. Then it's back on a truck headed back to TX. Seems silly but I get it. Scheduled to be in MN on Friday.
