Default White GT3 in Germany. It's mine now!

Anybody know this GT3? I think I have seen it on this forum before but can't seem to find it....so not sure anymore.

As a result of my futile attempt to find a new GT3 for sale in Europe, I have turned to the used market and have found this one which is very close to my new order spec. I even like the stripes.

I am off to Germany tomorrow to inspect the car.

Very tastefully done with the subtle red theme. I like it minus the buckets.

I must admit that I don't quite understand the general obsession with buckets. They are less comfortable than the Sport Plus seats 90% of the time. The majority of GT3 owners do not track their car so it seems to me that it is more of an image thing.

I would go for sofas if the buckets weren't comfortable but the buckets are a lot more comfortable than they get credit for, and look way better than the sofas thats the interest in them

I agree that people obsession over buckets way too much. I track my GT3 regularly in the 4-ways and they are okay for track use and much better for the rest of my driving than the bucket seats

I disagree with your second point, as Porsche has publicly stated on several occasions that 80% of GT3/RS owners take their car to the track.

Your statement about non-track use would be true for regular 911 owners.

I drove out to Germany yesterday to see the car. Soon as I saw it, I knew I had to buy it.

Been looking for over a year for a new one, and then more recently, a really good used one. And this is a really, really good used one.

In the showroom, it looked and presented like brand new. Only 2,500 miles. No scratches or marks outside. Underneath, absolutely spotless. No scratches under the nose, etc. Perfect condition. Tyres like new. Inside was pristine.

They gave me a pretty good price for my 4S so I bought it. Pick it up next week then straight off on a 1,500km drive around Germany.

Yes, I am keeping an eye on the weather. If it's marginal, I will delay my pick-up until the temperature is ok. Don't want to be zooming around the place in very low temperatures, rain, etc.

And right now, the weather outlook is not good..

Chris^^^

Congrats on a great find ,and more so for taking that BEAUTY home!

Really Sharp , white = fastest color , stripes= better MPG (they help to cut thru the air) opps maybe KPG?

sofas= styling in comfort
