Weird. The last word I would use to describe my PCCB's, hot or cold, is "mushy". Maybe having a fairly long downhill driveway, and always taking it easy on the brakes for the first few applications has something to do with it, but still.....

agree.

i would say that when cold, they bite high/early and require some adjustment to their touchiness, but then when warmed up are just linear and awesome...

I know this thread is specifically discussing PCCB vs. steel brakes but since battery and seats have been introduced, what about wheels? It has been stated elsewhere on rennlist that stock 991 GT3 wheels were weighed in at 24lbs front and 28lbs rear. The BBS FIR weighs 17.4lb front and 20.5lb rear for a total unsprung weight/rotational mass saving of 28.2lbs. But at a cost of $8,900

What about the Axle Lift?

Anybody knows the weight of it?

When trying to scrub speed at higher speeds, they offer better pedal feel than my steels. My ability to modulate just how much speed I shed feels much better in the PCCBs. Riding in the mountains, I get my braking right much more often in the 991 with PCCBs.
Thanks - I think you helped explain what I was unable to. They do have more fell no doubt. The PCCBs impressed me and, hence, why I spec'd them on my next build

Ouch... I was expecting less than this, THX for the intel. I have it on my June build but still questionning it. I dont have it on my current car and could live without it for the next (but it is a nice to have for sure).

As for PCCB vs Steel (As I want to contribute to this tread )
My current GT3 is equipped with PCCB. I'm a fan (feeling, no dust, great power). I'm still a little afraid a bit for track usage on the long run, for costs reason.

If you dont track your car, it is a no brainer to me.

When you say "OE Steel" is that the standard rotors (with the black callipers) or the S rotors? Makes a big difference, standard rotors being lighter than the red rotors.

How much weight does Radio delete save? The speakers and amp are probably 25 lbs alone.

Ah, no, not true. Porsche factory claims 16 lbs total, 4 lbs per corner, saved. And that’s compared to the red S calipers and rotors. When compared to the black standard brakes, it seems like the black are actually the same weight as the PCCBs (I am still trying to confirm this).
