Swap my Alcantara wheel for smooth leather anyone?
Purchased a '15 GT3 used and the only option it didn't have that I really wanted was the smooth leather steering wheel. I just prefer that over the Alcantara one. If anyone has a smooth one that would like to swap PM me.

STEERING WHEEL
If you can 't find a swap, you might consider
Classic 9 leather shop, they do Porsche leather restoration and can rewrap your steering in anything you want with any stitching you want.
There's also dallas customs steering that seem to do some good work.

Thanks for the replys and PM's.
I should have mentioned it has platinum stiching. The car is being shipped to me from Houston so I won't have it for another week or so. I'll post pictures of it when it arrives and contact those that have replied!

You should wait and try it.... Of all the options in my GT3, the one that surprised me most that I liked is the Alcantara wheel - it's so soft and looks great, matching the A pillars and roof. I always thought the leather on the wheel of a 991 was stretched a bit too much and it almost felt like some kind of slippery plastic.
People who drive the car also love the wheel, as it feels great and it's the first thing you notice.
I have seen higher milage cars (60,000+), where the Alcantara is dirty and even worn in places, but I figure this is ~$1,000 to replace with a whole new wheel and I can do that if it ever starts to look bad.

Weird... Is the GT3 wheel special? A regular 991 steering wheel in Alcantara is $1095.....

The GT3 wheel doesn't have the lights in the wheel sport/plus and launch , and it also has 50% reduction in the shifting throw.
