Great pictures and collection! I'd love to hear more about your driving impressions, especially the overall 'fun factor' between the 997 and the 991s. I personally went from a 997 C2S to a 991 GTS and in some ways, I think the former is a more raw and therefore more fun car. I wonder if the same can be extrapolated to the GT line.

I've tracked my 997.1 GT3 RS at a number of tracks - Sebring / Road Atl / Roebling / VIR / Daytona. It takes a lot of effort on my behalf to go what I consider 9/10ths of what I think I can do, and will require more skill than I have to push the car to its limits. It does have TC (no ESC) and with the manual shifting, adds a dynamic to it that is much different than the 991 GT3.
I've had the 991 GT3 at Sebring for the most part. It makes me feel like I'm a better driver and more skilled. I certainly don't push it to 10/10ths nor have the desire to be on the 'raged edge'. Without having to shift, I keep the car in PDK Sport and let it do its thing. It easily provides 25% more mental bandwidth so one can focus on brake point, turn in, apex, track out. So long as I follow the same pattern, the PDK is very consistent.
I'm planning to track my RS sometime in the spring once it's past break in - Road Atl or Sebring. Over the past week of driving it, there is no doubt that the car has more to offer than I'll ever demand of it. I'm looking forward to it!
