I already defected to Lamborghini when the GT cars went PDK. Hoping to return, but definitely won't if we are seeing the last NA cars from Porsche right now.
I think the question is why would Porsche faithful stay with the brand if there is no real tradition left, no solid Motorsport connection, and no NA motors to keep values high? And why would Porsche make people cross that bridge any sooner than they absolutely have to?
If I had to buy a flappy-paddle turbo sports car in the $200k range next year, it would be a 570S. And I have been a PCA member for 25+ years.

agree 100%. plenty of other cars from other model years that are compelling- the one reason we never address on here but I will now- why a lot of people buy new cars is because they don't have the cash and need to FICO the new car because it has the lowest rates. I view all GT3 cars as alternatives to each other. so when it was looking like I could not get a new 991RS allocation, I went out and got a mint 997RS instead of pay 75k over sticker.

If Porsche can truly dedicate themselves to developing a turbo car without lag like the 488, then I would consider buying one. I haven't driven a 488 so I'm referring to the reports of journalists I trust.
I have driven the other latest turbo sports cars by all the major manufactures, Mclaren, BMW M, Mercedes AMG, Porsche, (all were claimed to be virtually lag free by their companies), but lag was certainly noticeable and annoying to me in each car.
Given that Porsche has been making turbos for decades, and still hasn't fixed that problem, I don't expect I'll be buying a new Porsche again, if they do make the entire line turbo.

IMO if there are any more RS's there will be a few more 991.1s. It's a halo car, not a regular production car. It promotes brand image. It has done that. A few cars does not move Porsche's needle much. I bet TT's are more profitable. Most everyone who wanted an RS and didn't get one will buy some other 911. Mission accomplished.

Fair enough and maybe I shouldn't have directed my reply just to your quote. But I thought the gist of the conversation was that if Porsche ended NA in their GT cars that some posters here would take their money elsewhere. I was just curious as to which manufacturers building NA cars in the same price range would get their business. In your case, maybe the Audi V10 or Huracan (for now). Open question to everyone....
Especially if we're limiting ourselves to new cars.

Viper ACR, Ford GT350R, Lambo, 458, and all other used cars are all NA options.

But since there's nothing inline of the exhaust, a SC'd engine retains the NA exhaust note...plus the added bonus if the SC whine.
