RS demand
How would Porsche know if all these demands for more allocation is for real? I mean we are talking ~$250K OTD. If you were told today there are plenty RS available, would you still buy or you just want one because its hard to find?

Financially it would be hard to justify if a sudden wave of RS came available- this would drop the value of our GT3's such that even if sales are at MSRP for the new RS, the gulf between market values would be 75K or more.
If somehow there was no change to current GT3 values, then hell yes.

i have seen real dealer offers for $10-30k over MSRP for 16 GT3s and $50-100k offers over MSRP for PTS/RS

Luckily I put my name down 2 yrs ago and had no idea there would be such frenzy but I can see when something is hard to get everybody wants one. It's just our nature LOL. How many would go through with it though.

Everyone wants what they can't get. Human Nature.
The 918 was available for a bit, until Porsche announced that they only had 100 or so slots left, then they all sold quick. My dealer used to offer me one every time I walked in. I wasn't considering future value, so each time I passed.
He always reminded me, that buying one gave me a guaranteed slot for any car I want moving forward.
Darn, stupid me!!!!!!

Tell them to stop rubbing it in. This could also be a marketing ploy you know? All of a sudden 3000 allocation available and not enough buyers. That would suck.

I texted the cleaning lady earlier today, and she told me that dealers would be getting RS trunk money come December.

The cleaning lady rocks! Every time I get info from her I'm afraid Porsche will discover her somehow. Thank God there are a few of them at the factory and it will take a long time to find her. But they're on it.
All I know...if you're an RS flipper you better flip now because allocations are coming. GT3 was the same : PAG trolls were feeding " the end " , " no more " , " not enough "...the cleaning lady was telling me : plenty more to come, don't worry.
The same thing is happening now with the GT4 and RS.
What stage of coma and for how long would you have had to be in not to get a GT3 if you really wanted one?

if up to me. i would make a lot of RS and everyone who wants one gets one at msrp. limited production is boring to me. good things should be enjoyed by all. plus, the more the make the cheaper the parts will be. you bang up your hood, thats' $20k

I had the same thoughts. Put my name down on a list for the RS about 6 months ago not knowing the demand for this car. I am lucky I got an allocation for a October production.
