Looking at the want ads here and the fact that the new publicly traded Ferrari wants to build more cars, got me thinking. Times they are a changin'....

U can openly walk into a Ferrari dealership and place an order for a 488GTB and they will gladly take ur money and spec out the car you want. Depending where you live in the world I am sure you can have one waiting to be bought on the spot.

If you walk into the Atlanta Ferrari store and are a new buyer for a 488 you are 3 years out.
Its the same game.

In Dubai I test drove the car for the whole day. The allocations are sold till May and If I wanted one I can put a deposit down, spec my car out and my car goes into production in June.

Don't get excited. This is nothing different from the past. Has been that way in Dubai for a while. The flip side of it is that the car will drop 50% in value in the first 2-3 years. 458s are available here for not too much over $100K.

I'm sure if you call around you can get a car in less than 3 years. Ferrari is public now and they need PROFITS ASAP! No SUV sales to hide behind.

ferrari may expand into other models to appease the regulators. there's quite a bit of talk about a dino - which could be 6 cylinder.....who knows...maybe something even smaller down the road

If you are within 100 miles of a Ferrari dealer you have to order a new car thru them. You aren't allowed to buy in another territory. What you really need is a relationship with the dealer. Just like an RS.

If there is not a dealer within a 100 miles then you can buy anywhere. Still, to get an early car you are going to need a relationship.

Lucky you would have an extra ~$20k from tax savings to spend on track consumables.
