This is a great alternative and I'll seriously have to look at this when it's time to replace the GT3.

I'm scheduled to test drive the 610-4 next month, so maybe I'll dig it...

It is a bargain price but we all know the depreciation hit after a year is big. There are now a bunch of Huracans you can get lightly used way below market and even some Dealers with inventory cuttiing prices $20,000 off MSRP. They are all bitching on the Lambo forums and many can not comprehend why some one would want a lighter 2 wheel drive lambo. They think that if you can not afford the top of the line than why bother - different breed over there.

I drive the 550-2 and liked it much better than the awd Gallardo. Had I been able to see anything behind or to the side of me I might have seriously considered it.

Poser group. Ha

This car does interest me, just not sure if this car would hold up to the track treatment I dish out to my GT3's.

Yep. The engine note is incredible and I'm glad someone is still making NA supercars, but I can't ever see myself buying a Lambo.

Just a much higher percentage of poseurs buying cars just to demonstrate their wealth and to compensate for other shortcomings. Every sports car brand has poseurs, Porsche included, but the percentage has always seemed rather high for Lambo owners.

And the second reason to own a GT3/RS over a lambo is because it would never last or perform as reliably on the track compared with the GT3. I couldn't justify my GT3 as a fun weekend car, if it didn't also serve a second purpose as a reliable car for the track.

I tend to agree w/u. I would rather flog Gt3 or RS then a Lambo

I've been racing a bit in a Huracan super trofeo 620-2. It's a true Motorsports derived car from the ground up - only thing in common with the road car is the engine. These machines are simply staggering in their performance. Laying down times faster than GTD cars and nearly on pace with GTLM. btw - that's with a mandatory 30-40hp restrictor for the spec race series. Absolute monsters. Season finale at Sebring this weekend. Check it out

No doubt the Super Trofeo Huracan's are serious race cars!! They will destroy a 991 Cup car, wipe a 458 FC off the track and all with a stock Lambo motor.....I also owned a street version (just sold it) and the car was much more fun to drive when heading out for a date with the wife but when I took it to Thermal, the street car fell on its face.........the GT3/RS ran away there.......as it should!

Had a verde mantis H for 2 months. $17k under Msrp new. Was always sticking my head out the window to change lanes. Driving the gt3 is like being in a minivan in terms of rear and side visibility. The TEB was nice but sunlight reflected off the CF engine bay rendered rear visibility nil. Back up camera a must. Plus the attention with the H was staggering. Not as good DD as the gt3 in my experience. Im in line for 488 spider time will tell not a fan of turbo engine. Really liked my 458 spider but moved on before big depreciation.

2 wheel drive huracan... Sign me up..
Weird thing though, it seems crazy that the weight distribution is 60 rear 40 front, which is the same as the GT3. I thought it would be more forward.

I love this thing. Drove a 610-4 in Italy and thought it was an extremely well sorted car. This is what I would want! RWD, less weight. Boom

The reason I like my Huracan is because its got 4wd and you can loon on it all you want and have it just be totally solid. But I love the idea of a RWD version...that would be wild as hell. WAY TO GO LAMBO!

Prices in Europe are significantly cheaper than the US when you exclude taxes. The LP580 is around 160k in Europe and around 200k here. If not for the RS, it would probably be the car I'd go for at 200k or less.
