GT4 isn't that great, I passed one in my golf cart? Of course he was stopped to get his mail but none the less I know I could have taken him on the outside as he pulled into his driveway

Yeah, while the vid is entertaining, the implied conclusion isn't valid. FWIW, I drove both back to back on track and the GT3 is definitely quicker, a perspective which is supported by the GT3's 7:25 Ring time versus the GT4's 7:40, although obviously the driver can make all the difference.

There may be reasons why the GT4 is a better or more enjoyable choice for some but faster track performance in the hands of equal drivers isn't one of them.

I've driven my friend's F40 and when the turbo kicks in, it goes into neck snapping mode - in a very bad way.

RS - GT3 little gap. GT3 - GT4 bigger gap in track performance.
It may be more engaging to drive with cheaper wheels, normal LSD and manual. But it's quite a lot slower and on normal tracks it doesn't take much to drive around on with one of the automatics.

Disclaimer: the video was not meant to imply the GT4 is a GT3 slayer and was for pure entertainment value.

Some of you guys need to relax .

Side note: Didn't a GT4 easily drive around you at the Ring while you were in a 991 RS ? I am just poking fun based on your comment about driving around a GT4 with a ease =P.

^^ I said normal tracks. I only got passed by a GT4 (and a civic and a Mark II Golf) at the Ring

Relax?! Whatever I voted for with my wallet (or on a wishful wait list in some case) is THE BEST ONE EVER AND THE REST IS ALL WRONG!!

Will the next gen be faster? Will it have more power? How fast is fast enough? Where will the horse power war end? How much more can a manufacturer extract from a platform to balance streetability/safety/regulations and track performance?
These are questions that I'm reflecting at the moment.
The GT3 is faster, the RS is even more faster...I don't care. If the GT4 would be faster...I wouldn't care either. All 3 are becoming too good for me.
I can't have'em all or too many,so my next one will be a restored 964 or something, combining the old feel and involvement with some modern touches.

I think we're all pretty relaxed here.

However, your assertion of posting only for entertainment value aside, if you show a video in a GT3 forum of a GT4 passing a GT3 on track you shouldn't be surprised by a few comments from your audience.
