nobody outside of a small circle of germans who get paid a lot of money while working for Porsche know the true answer. Rumors say yes it will happen, but nothing is known for sure. Dealers will take deposits on anything to hold your money (they get the interest from the banks). But usually they know just as little if not less than a well informed enthusiast.

No GT2s will be built for the .2 variants. Only NA GT3/RS will be built.

But again, how much more will a Gt2rs be different from a Gt3rs? we will probably expect 650hp? (too f**king much for the road) PDK? and then a price we'll have to be drunk to pay.

Yes, we will most likely see a .2 991 gt2...
intimated as much during his talk at the PCA tent on the last day of Rennsport.
I would suggest you go through the thread and read all the comments to get
a better feel of what folks heard him say on that subject, which he touched on
in a very indirect manner. But he did say something...although not very much.

agree with eduardo
Porsche will definitely build a GT2 RS. There are already spy shots of them testing something that looks like a GT2RS and building a halo turbo model like the GT2RS makes TREMENDOUS sense to help them sell the new standard 991.2 911 turbo models.
