I asked the service centre and they told me I would get a phone call right away, since PAG informs each dealer right away on which cars have the problem.
They are claiming the two are related. I kind of roll my eyes at that, but the GM was telling me this issue is something wrong that impacts the electrical system in the car - yeah, thanks for the specifics. "We are 99% sure this TSB will fix the paddle shifter".
My take is the Ecu update for mid range oil pressure will happen for all cars. The coils being changed due to a batch of faulty coils I can understand. If the plugs are same design, just switch them out as they may be fouled,ok as well. But if the plugs are a different design then why change on such a small number of cars.
And they think the recall for coils/sparks and an oiling Ecu flash is going to fix an electrical signaling issue??

Yeah. I was told they think the re-flash, which will involve the PDK controller, will fix the problem. We'll see...

I'd be curious enough to ask to see the 6 plugs they take out. With hearing stories about damaged plugs, I would want to see them.
Good call, I will or at least ask that I can photograph them in case they claim they want to send them to Porsche or some such (Porsche likes to keep these things under wraps, right?).
