Exclamation 991 911 GT3 Production over?

I am considering to buy a GT3 next year in May in Dubai. I went to the Porsche Dubai website and saw that GT3 was not in the option. It was there 7-8 days back.
Then I went to the AutoTrader site which had a brand new GT3 for sale and it said (Last Production).
Can anyone tell me that if the production is already over.

GT3 in UAE is sold out since several weeks, RS has a waiting list as long as Burg Dubai...
I am sorry to tell you that you will have to wait for the .2 version

So when is the new GT3 coming ? And if not GT3, which other 911 can I get closest to the GT3. Of course RS I will have to buy used and I do not want to buy any used car. GTS with Aero Kit only option?

Wait for the next GT3 .2, if you can wait that long. Buying anything else you will be disappointed.

That would be a logical progression based on the past sequence of GT Models.
But Porsche, and most other Auto manufacturers around the world, are being squeezed by increasingly strict governmental regulations requiring increased fuel mileage (MPG) and lowered emissions. They, including Porsche, are being pushed inevitably towards smaller displacement Engines, Turbocharging and Electric Motor Hybrids. Considering the pressures to meet the new regulations,
I would not count on another generation of either GT3s or GT3RS's. The present
models just could be the last ever made. Enjoy what you got guys!.

At RRV AP all but confirmed there will be a 991.2 GT3/RS, and that it will not be much different than the 991.1 version.

That's never going to happen.

PAG will lose its halo cars, and its competitive edge against Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.

There is no way there won't be another set of GT cars. What exactly they are will evolve over time, but the 991.2's will remain N/A, most likely.

Those cars are basically ready to go...no R&D needed. Porsche is currently working on the 992 platform as we speak. We'll get a 991.2 GT3 & RS and I'd bet on it.

I agree....and I believe emissions regulations span the entire line up....with so many models being low emissions they can afford to make the GT cars....

My dealer has just had to order in advance the scale model cars for the 991.2 GT3. Based on how this previously panned out for the 991.1 GT3, his best guess is that the 991.2 GT3 will be announced late in 2017 for delivery early 2017.
