That is why the R is not a GT3/RS, it's just an R. I'm calling Shinanigans due to it's limited production. Should be as easy to get as a Turbo or GTS or GT3.

991R has a retractable spoiler like any other Carreras. It's there for a reason.
Check the story of early Audi TT models that initially came out without that last minute spoiler at the rear. Until one guy in Germany got killed in it. Audi engineers wanted that from the beginning as they knew the car was not stable at high speeds but the stylists won...

It didn't actually totally solve the problem and later Audi upgraded TTs with ESP.
I am not a car expert but as aviation engineer can tell you that a couple of little fins few centimetres each on wings can make a heavy jet fly instead of falling like a rock.
Don't underestimate aerodynamics
