Wow, what a great garage (Man Cave) he has there. Loved the I-Robot lawn mower in the first 30 secs of the video. I'll need to get my good German friend to translate for me. Thank you for the video.

2100 sf garage

200 ft of wall 13 ft ceiling

2100 sf of ceiling with a tray like set up for LED back lights.

I am using my own guys that work for me in commercial 5/8 drywall level 5 finish. 50.00 a ft is normal higher ceiling add a bit and ceilings double it.

My numbers are cost and subs doing me favors.

They are not making you double layer the 5/8 rock, lucky. My township required it as it is attached to my house.

Default SABER Cabinets

My wife and I just finished the installation of our Saber Cabinets. I'm very pleased with the quality of the cabinets at a very reasonable price. I want to especially thank Matt of Obsessed Garage for making me aware of Saber and his great videos. In addition a big thank you to Dean of Saber cabinets, his advice was invaluable on choosing the right combinations for my needs. If you're looking for a terrify product you cannot go wrong with Saber.

Looks good, the blue cabinets match the blue on your car.

It's not attached no living quarters so even though it's conditioned the plan review gave me a pass on double layer til inspector saw I sneaked in higher ceilings by creating interior scuppers in the 6 inch framing to the gutters it's a flat roof changed slope to the minimum gained 18 inches.

Got caught at inspection - demanded double drywall he thinks I am going to build a second floor living quarters. My response was what you think doesn't matter - he snarled and signed off while his voice cracked asking why ... seemed a lil upset

Any advice on how to find a contractor to build a garage? It seems like you can find a guy to build a shed or a house, but nothing in between....

Word of mouth and referrals. Here in the Toronto area, the market is so hot that it's virtually impossible to get someone unless you know someone. There are good ones and bad ones, and even the bad ones are busy and booked solid.

I can't say it enough, you need to get involved; doesn't mean that you have to swing a hammer, but you have to pay attention.
