GT3RS Rear License Plate Question

I have what may be a silly question related to my new 991 GT3RS. I noticed that unlike with my 997.1 GT3RS Porsche did not supply a black plastic insert or license plate holder with the car. Rather, it appears that the license plate and the frame (if one is used) is attached directly to the bumper via the four indents/holes on the bumper itself. Is this normal? Is there any concern that the plate or frame may rub or "mark" the bumper if an insert or holder is not used? Did 991 GT3s come with the black plastic insert or license plate holder? Perhaps Porsche stopped using these a few years ago?

What I did on my 991GT3RS, I inserted a quarter of an inch thick rubber washer between the plate and the license frame holes. This would prevent any rubbing, or even scratching your paint from vibration. Hope this helps.

I think my original post may not have been 100% clear (sorry). I was referencing the rear plate only. That is, no black plastic rear plate holder was supplied with the car (as in the past). I like the idea of some rubber washers/spacers to "lift" the plate and frame away from the painted bumper.
My RS came with a plastic black front plate holder; however, to attach it would require drilling in to the front bumper . . . so, I have set it aside.

another option is Xpel. There is always some extra Xpel left over when they wrap the front of your car and I just had my installer save those pieces and I wrapped one around the back of the license plate which prevents the rubbing, but is very low profile and basically invisible, and you won't have to worry about losing it like a rubber washer. (washer is also not a bad idea)

He was talking about the rear plate, as was I. When I took off the dealer frame, I was surprised nothing was there - just the bumper itself and the exposed hole for the rear tow hook. I got a front plate holder but thankfully they listened to me and didn't drill the front bumper.

My dealer do not install front license plates frames by "default." All my "fancy" cars do not have front license plates. It looks cleaner that way.
I like the idea of applying extra XPEL wrap material as a backing support on the plate to prevent scratches. Rubber washers are cheap and can be bought in any hardware store.
However, here in Illinois, cars are required to have front license plates. You can buy front license plates adaptor to the front tow hook from a variety of vendors I have used:
