I don't doubt the capability of the F12 TDF; I'm sure it makes lots of downforce. Unlike other Ferraris, I just don't think it's particularly good looking. The fact that at 50 feet it could probably rather easily be mistaken for a Corvette isn't a big plus either, but that's just my biased opinion....

A lot of people buy ferraris because they think at 50ft a 911 looks like a beetle....

Yellow was not the best choice by the marketing department, as it draws even more comparisons to the very similar Z06, which has also been heavily marketed in yellow. I can't even think of any official Z06 marketing that wasn't in yellow. When I think Z06, I think yellow. Now when I think F12, I think Z06.

No offense to any of you previous poster's but we can all say "it reminds me of the Corvette", but for the few fortunate ones and I wish I was one, once you drive the F12 you will know that its not a Corvette or wont even care.

F12tdf is quoted at 0-124mph in 7.9 which equals the 675LT. I can't think of another street legal NA car ever being as fast as that.

amazing...too bad that car will never see my garage...I am going to have to settle for an F12 standard berlinetta in the next year or two.

Nice. The F12 is the best looking car Ferrari has made in a long time. Just great, simple, classic lines.

meanwhile back to Ferrari earth...I just installed my speciale wheels which brought the rubber out another 1/2" rather than using spacers. When my Novitec F1 mufflers come in in November, they will be installed along with exhaust valve controller and novitec sport lowering springs...drops the car 1 1/8".

You are right in theory….I used to think the same thing until I bought the F12. The reality is that the car sounds unbelievable but the first time you push the pedal down 2/3 of the way….you enter "chaos mode". Traction control on the F12 is merely a suggestion as you can easily…I mean VERY easily lose the rear end with modest throttle around a turn. It would be an incredible car to drag race with…as straight-line speed makes the GT3 feel pretty slow.

I think the performance difference between the tdf and the standard F12 will be similar to the 991 GT3 and RS (i.e. modest) though the car will be lighter and more raw.

good idea to lower it. I also like the speciale wheels

You have a great looking car, but all 458s need to be lowered to look right.
