I'll quote the relevant portion:

In the case where the manufacturer has performed tests to prove to the approval authority compli* ance with those requirements, the modes used during those tests shall be reported in a test report."

So from the small snippet on the previous page it seems to imply if you have valves and the noise level is under requirements in both positions it's fine....am I mistaken?

There are known V200 commissions with production dates in early calendar year 2016. Myth busted without doubt.
In fact our local dealer has order dates stretching into late spring / early summer next year. Could be a RoW thing though, but it's clear that production doesn't stop with the calendar year. With the manufacturing year, perhaps.

... RS, GT4, Boxster Spyder production will run until mid year 2016 - e.g. currently cars for customers in "warm regions" e.g. Florida etc. are being produced..... most of north/central Europe production is done next spring.... people will not drive their RS's in snow..... but agree after July 2016 RS 1 production will be over....

Keep dreaming - they're not going to design different exhaust systems for both the EU and North America.
The issue is not so much the valves, but the implications. Just one more thing to disincentivize n/a engines and force manufacturers to go turbo/hybrid/electric.
I don't care if an engine is turbocharged if it has n/a like power delivery and sounds just as good as the future neutered n/a engine. It's coming and we'll all grow to love it. Trust me.
