This dealership offered me a few weeks ago a buildable allocation on RS for 100k over MSRP.
I don't know if it's the same car or not.
But wheels should be plat and vents should stay black

interesting all the silver wheel recommendations... I am not sure that I have seen but 1 single RS spec'd in silver wheels on all of the world wide web...

But, please understand, for those of is getting an rs at msrp, this is a good thing...

And it's a good thing for me too since these crazy prices have a trickle down effect on the 991 GT3s and even the 997 GT3/RS cars. The folks getting the RS cars at MSRP should be very happy for 2 reasons...1) They have a good dealer and 2) They have built in equity before they even take ownership of the car.

My guess is that the RS will trade at a $0 to $100k premium over MSRP even when used. If the 991.2 RS is NA and is "better" (lighter, more aero, more HP, etc) then the price of the 991.1 RS might dip below MSRP for driven cars. Since you are buying the car, go enjoy it for a bit before you sell it...life is short and experiences are priceless. Maybe I'll have my Cayman S track car for sale when you are looking for a full track car.

regular gt3s and RS cars both have equity build in for MSRP buyers, more for RS obviously. But especially non-track cars (I know I know they belong on track) low mileage cars will hold very well...because Porsche has under priced them... different thread. good for those of us buying at MSRP for sure.

Same conversations happened with 07RS go back and read the forum from then
Those buyers got to enjoy selling their car In 10/11 for literally the mark up they paid over msrp
I can't wait to be a buyer in 3 or so years. Economy is nearing similarities to 07 across the board
This one I'll keep an eye for in the used market

Your economic instincts are spot on, audi. No way this is going to last that much longer, never does. Just not sure when. Don't have the crystal ball. I've experienced these bubbles over the past 40 years being in the commercial/investment real estate business. It's just the way the economy recycles itself. Notwithstanding Dodd-Frank lenders are back to easing credit, little or no doc verification, etc Freddie is doing 97% LTV loans, cap rates at all time lows and so on...once this happens the writing is on the wall. That's when opportunities present themselves, if one has the patience to wait for that to happen - the inevitable bottom.

I am also waiting for a used one. With all these people ogling over all these funky colors like in this thread I ought to be able to find a nice GT Silver or White one that no one wants because it's normal.

Let me answer the how much over asking price Isringhausen wants.
It was 100K over a month ago when he had some guy advertise it anonymously on Craigs List and I almost pulled the trigger. I then found out the guy who advertised it was making 3K for placing the ad for Isringhausen.
Now I have no issues with a dealer or private party trying to make as much money as he can selling a car for what ever the market will bear...as a buyer, we can just say no.
What I take great issue with is transparency. Having a friend post the car for sale implying the friend owns the slot and is willing to sell it for 3K, while the dealer who is delivering the car is making 97K is deceiving and my suspicion is no dealer or RL sponsor wants to advertise 100K over for a new car and get the backlash from how many people would take that on this forum.

only option to definitely avoid is the Satellite Radio - comes with a roof antenna blob which spoils the line of the magnesium roof. I'd add the steering wheel housing in leather - you see it all the time! and the AC vents in leather (not the vents themselves, but the housing - particularly good with deviated stitching.
By the way, my MSRP is +$220k and is being sold by the dealer to me AT MSRP.
