Default Second time is better. 2016 GT3

Hi Folks, its been awhile but I finally took delivery of the my new 2016 GT3. The first GT3 was totaled due to a slight miscalculation on a power slide/Drift. Cold temps, wet paint patch, driving assistance off and stupidity was some of the few things I recalled present at the time. Anyway, as life moves on, I decided to lay low and wait of my RS to be delivered which should have been last week. My dealer called a few months ago and offered me a 2016 GT3 and convinced me that the RS was not ideal for me because I live in the city and only track occasionally. To make a long story short, I gave up the RS and took the GT3 and regret not buying both. When I went to pay for my car last week the dealer offered the exact same car that I gave up for 150K over (that white one in manhattan). I naturally and respectfully declined.

The 2016 and the 14 is the exact same car but I love the 16 more because I learnt what I did wrong and corrected it. The only thing left for debate are the brakes. The only reason I went with steel is because of the color. Yellow would have upset my black, grey red theme.

All I can say is that I missed this dam car and it feels as good or even better as the first time I drove it a year ago. The engine sound, the shifting, the handling, the looks..... it all fits into this one beautiful package that some how makes everything work perfectly. Speaking about the second time around, I decide to Swisstrax my garage based on Matt. M's videos to give it a proper home. Thanks Matt, for the tip on this company.

I wonder why he convinced you not to buy the rs? Pretty insulting to offer $150,000 over on a car he convinced you not to get.

LOL... a few months ago was " don't get it. If you get it, don't scratch or drive it. Take the GT3 instead so you don't have to worry about it." a few months later... "you need it, if you don't get it you'll miss the investment of the century".

Im a big boy, I made the decision so its not their fault. The GT3 is better for me and I truly love it.

What price were they offering you the RS at the beginning when you had the option to get it??

Welcome back Mike.

I bet it's Manhattan Motorcars who tried to pull a fast one on you. No wonder, they recently listed an RS for 378K.

yeah kind of a scumbag move by the dealer. They realized how limited the allocations were and knew they could overcharge someone else.

Congrats on the agate. got any pics of the interior?

Congratulations on the new ride.

Wouldn't be surprised if it was Manhattan - I had a deposit with one of their Porsche dealerships for a second RS. In the end all I got was my deposit refunded after supposedly being their first deposit.

Awesome! Congrats!

You mentioned you like this one better since you corrected some things you did 'wrong' the first time.

Can you elaborate?
