Been a while since I posted here. I heard it will be a 4.4 as while. The first car is being allocated to Manthey racing :x

So many rumors, I have a little bird that whispers in my ear. Heard nothing about the 4.4l engine. But, I've signed a paper with a 4.2l 991.2gt3rs! And have inquired if they can make it barely street legal. (Cup Edition)

With the 991.1RS just released I would say it won't be until 2017-2018. Very good chance we will see the last regular 911 N/A in Frankfurt. The rumored 991R.

One can always hope. I don't have enough seat time in 997gt2s to really comment, but I drove the 996gt2 a lot and always preferred the gt3.

E-Porsche is coming, 2+2 pure electric concept sports car.

That aligns to all the rumors over the past few months of the "Pajun" concept (due 2018?) and the Porche e-cell movement.

Crazy hips on that car. The wheels looks overdone, tuner to me. 80% charge in 15 minutes is impressive, but that must be at a dedicated and yet to be seen charging station...no way that's at a typical house.

If this is also the new Panamera, it's certainly an improvement.

FRANKFURT--Porsche, the German sports car maker, Monday unveiled a prototype battery-driven sports car with which it aims to challenge Tesla Motors Inc., the upstart maker of high-end electric cars whose success has shaken more established car makers.

The new road-hugging design, dubbed "Mission E," is unmistakable as an offspring of Porsche's iconic 911 but carries an 800-volt electric powertrain with 600 horsepower that can accelerate to 100 kilometers per hour in 3.5 seconds.

"When we designed this car, we knew it had to be a real Porsche," Chief Executive Matthias Müller said in an interview on the eve of the Frankfurt Motor Show. "It had to feel like a 911."

Porsche, which is owned by Volkswagen AG, calls Mission E the first four-door battery-driven sports car that is fit for everyday use. The prototype can travel 500 kilometers on a full charge. It can be recharged to 80% in about 15 minutes, Mr. Müller said.

A final decision whether to build the car is expected at the end of the year. If all goes according to plan, Porsche's electric sports car could hit the streets in 2019.

Looks killer if a bit overdone in concept form. Can't wait to see what else they come up with.

So what about the rumoured GT3 RS limited???? Are there more announcements to come from Porsche?

Suspect that's your '' Future Sportscar '' from the post Le Mans ad . Certainly looks nice for what it is . Would love to see the Panamera get a makeover along those lines too - what an abomination that thing is from a styling standpoint . Recall how hideous I thought the first generation Cayenne was , but the Panamera outdid it ! At least the new Cayenne looks half decent . I digress .
