No mule spyshots of anything that could resemble a GT4RS appeared yet so I doubt it's that. Think how many prototypes of the GT3RS we saw running around before they officially premiered it; they know how to slowly build hype up and torture us.

Yeah I don't think it's a GT4RS or a final ed 991RS... too soon, probably the new 960 and the Carrera S mk2.

This is very interesting.

On Rennteam I posted 3 days ago how I left my dealer on the way to the airport last Saturday after looking at the brand new 2016 GT3 in RHD he had in his showroom. Hes the sales manager. I asked him about the 2016 and he said "its one of the lad few cars made by the factory and production has now officially ceased". As I stepped into the taxi he smiled at me and told me the 991 GT3 was the last NA 911 that Porsche would build. I laughed thinking he was pulling my leg and drove away for an international flight.

Evidence Article 2. A European member on this board who is close to information from the factory was told a final run 991 GT3 will be announced shortly. He has since cancelled his 991 GT3RS order. He was told no information on the car other than "it was definitely coming and would be limited number car".

Wouldnt it be shocking if both the above are correct (and hence the OPs announcement).

If the NA engine is over for the 911 and this is the final limited number iteration, I suspect it will be PDK given the volume. Begs the question "whats next". Seems crazy doesnt it? It sure wont harm the residuals of 991 GT3/RS etc.

I have Doubt of A spécial édition of the RS, with all the newer version of 911 with turbo engine maybe the 960 but not an RS... But wait and see ;)

GT2RS? That could explain the test shot we saw of the "GT3 RS" after it was announced. Too easy, use the same body and slap a few turbo chargers on.

So it is seems more & more that AP was full of it and we have a bright, green, happy utopia of small turbo'd / hybrid cars that will meet the demands of government climate change regulations.
