There are a lot of other considerations to E85 fuel than whether or not the engine functions OK. The alcohol in the fuel will attack anything made of rubber. So those parts in the powertrain will need special seals and components which can withstand alcohol. Unfortunately the gasoline manufacturers are cutting fuel with alcohol (outside the E85 designation/formulation) and it gets me crazy, especially for my older cars.
