Got a call from the dealer today. They have an allocation for the RS that is not spoken for. Build/order is in November. They want 100K markup... If anyone willing to pay them the mark up I can give you their contact lol.

 

Did you tell them to take a hike or jump off a bridge? Let me guess who it is....Beverly Hills? Auto Gallery? Champion? Carlsen? Scottsdale?

 

No new information here. It's pretty obvious who to call if you're willing to pay MRSRP +$100k

Signal Green and Voodoo Blue RS are available at 100K over. Stupid.

 

Wow ..........many have gotten PTS and MSRP. They will pop of for sale next next year. Well with the DOW nose diving 1000 points this week don't see this holding.

 

Crazy. Was offered a white at 70 over and signal green and voodoo blue at 100! Let's see how long this holds with the markets crashing down. Maybe we get a chance at 25 over when Dow hits 14k...😀

 

I hope people keep on paying these ridiculous mark-ups. It just helps the 991 GT3s look like the bargain of the century and will help hold their values.

I had no idea that signal green and voodoo blue PTS GT3RS were available, at any cost. I am philosophically against spending anything over MSRP, but I could see maybe paying some kind of premium for PTS cars since they aren't available any more. Interesting.

 

I don't see the 991GT3's holding...there are currently 15 for sale on fleabay

 

I wonder how many dealers screwed their potential customers (on a list) out of msrp allocations so they could grossly over price them with obscene markups ?

 

I still have not received my allocation for the second batch of RS. Probably they are playing with the market to see if they could sell it above MSRP.

I could still remember when the first allocation for the GT3 came out in 2013. same circus.

Fast forward Oct 2014, I had 3 allocations of the GT3 and picking only the delivery date. More so now, I can wait till next year to get my car.

 

I think they will...with GT4's going over sticker and RS' being so much in demand, the value in the Porsche world is still the GT3. The GT3, even at $160k, is similar in price to a well-spec'd Targa GTS or even only $10k or $15k more than a C4S coupe with some options etc...
I think it is a value in any market, but with the other cars going over MSRP in so many places in the country, I just don't see a dip anytime soon. I think there are cars for sale because people are trading for RS' and want to get out now vs. later when the cars come in, and they have to. Personally, I am keeping mine for the foreseeable future, even after my RS arrives. Two great cars.
