Default Back-up Camera

Apologies for the noob question from a potential buyer - does the GT3 have a back-up camera as part of the Nav system? From what I've read, it's a dealer add-on?

Thanks in advance!

You have to go aftermarket. Check my signature for what I used

Yeah, I drilled down a bit and found the sites. Again, thank you for the response.

Nav-TV is the way to go.

Very OEM, better screen resolution in my opinion than the OEM cameras on the TTS

Also, when you have it installed make sure to disable the manual override function of "double tap defrost button" to activate the backup camera. This will tend to overheat the system and blank out your screen.

Otherwise, all is good.

I have the NavTV and it is excellent. Better resolution than on my '15 Cayenne camera.

I also have the NAV-TV setup. Use it all the time to back the car into the garage onto my 4 post lift. Makes it super easy.

Does the Nav-TV come with any guide lines on the screen or is purely a camera view? If they have guide lines any way to configure them with the wheels turning? Reviews don't seem to show any guidelines from what I can see? Txs.

There are lines (its an option that can be selected during install), but are not dynamic.

Thanks. One last question is this or could it be a diy install or is it advisable to have a pro do it? I'd be more concerned about pulling the PCM I think?

Its plug-and-play.

Remove panels, no PCM removal.

There are people who DIY. Certainly doable.

But not for me. I can barely make instant hot chocolate without asking for assistance.
