Default Porsche Precision App

Hi all not sure if this has been discussed however i am wondering if anyone has managed to import additional tracks into the porsche precision app ? If so are we able to import tracks from Harrys lap timer for example? Harrys application has managed to leverage the wider community to contribute tracks (world wide) and build a database of tracks. I am disappointed porsche has not setup a community site so we can all share pre-configured tracks and build a database of additional tracks, sectors and track records etc.

You can import it with iTunes if you're using an Apple device.

Agreed. This app sucks.

Where do you get the tracks from?

I was more alluding to the fact porsche does not have a community website available which other porsche uses of the app can share there own made tracks which are not native to the app. We also cannot compare what others are doing in laptimes too.

Hope that makes sense.

I was at the track today and used the app for the first time. I created a track map using google maps which worked fine, but did not have the live views which is annoying. Porsche lists a bunch of extra tracks on their site but not sure how to use the app on these tracks? The app is clunky and not user friendly, but when you dig deep it has some awesome features - e.g. Records and graphs things like tyre slip angle / oversteer / under steer, revs, tyre pressure from lap to lap etc. all of this data comes from the car which you don't get in other apps. Tyre pressure was useful - interesting to see the pressures in your best lap as they heat up.

Overall I like the app. It has some quirks, but you can work around them.

It needs an update for sure, and there hasn't been one since April... c'mon, Porsche!

So it need's more development. Especially a user's forum for like minded people to congregate and compare who is the fastest. But like already stated above with the graphs and other data's this Track App can flourish into something useful. Think of all the hour's Porsche throw's into developing their car's they could have done a better job for the launch of this application. At least it's not Vaporware.
