Default RS wheel, light paddles

Just wanted to post a quick bit of trivial info. I ordered an RS wheel to send to MACarbon to customize and just picked it up. The yellow 12 'clock marker looks kinda weird and the whole wheel definitely feels smaller, but not too small, actually now perfect. I was pleasantly surprised to find the paddle travel to be much lighter that the GT3's, which I never understood why the GT3 had a firmer spring than the other 991 variants. I can't tell if it's the same travel as the GT3 or less but certainly very short travel. I think the wheel/paddles are now perfect.

Looks good Sam. I haven't been on forum for a while. When is your RS arriving? My order is still in V70 mode for last 6 months. It frustrating. Hoping for allocation after Germans are back to wErk.

Cheers

Sweet has anyone managed to get this retrofitted to the gt3 ? Last time i checked the air bag issue was the issue. Has this seen been resolved? Keen to hear more.

Nice, Sam! Interesting about the firmness of the paddles. Personally, I like the stiff GT3 paddles; my Cayenne S sport wheel paddles feel too light and imprecise by comparison. Maybe I'll get a chance to compare the RS paddles someday.

Is the wheel thicker? Will this work on gt3?

How much did RS wheel cost?

Default RS wheel, light paddles

Wheel rim is thicker, diameter of the whole wheel is smaller, also more dish. Nobody has successfully done it that I have heard of. Airbag is different as are all the multifunction buttons. Dying to change to this wheel so hope somebody manages to do it.

Goes into production 9/11 (?911).

Cheers

Heard the same although not sure if true. Have no data.

Come to Dallas after my delivery and I'll let you try, great scenery here (sarcasm). I think the difference between the RS and the Cayenne and others would be the very short travel, which, I think, should take care of the precision issue.

I don't know if it would work on the GT3, a good question. Lists for over $3K, about $2,800 + at Suncoast and $2,600+ locally. Always cheaper at my dealership than Suncoast.

Darn, I prefer the stiffness of GT3 paddles.

The RS paddles are a shorter pull with a more pronounced "click" on engagement. Not lighter than the standard GT3.

< The DMV denied PURPLHZE. I appealed it and sent them all sorts of documentation but no go . They said "reference to criminal activity".

It felt that way but I wasn't so sure. Definitely lighter as well, so I think it'll feel right on the money.
