Question Any good LWB seat bolster protectors out there?

Wondering if there are any good LWB seat bolster protectors out there? Would be the 997 GT2 ones work on the 991 bucket seats?

997 bolster protectors will not work....
I used them as a template to make new ones that are slightly longer and the rear strap in slightly longer.
Didn't realize how expensive Altancara was...oh well

Your hands to float over the seat!

Honestly, I had the protectors on my GT2 buckets and other than keeping the leather from getting gouged from pant rivets and such, I don't think it did anything to keep the leather from getting a shiny patina since the alcantara fabric slid over the leather as you got in and out and wore it smooth anyways.

I never touch the side bolster with my ***. Right hand on the top of the steering wheel, right foot in the foot well against the back, left palm on the door sill. Just push up with left arm as you lift your rear end up and over the bolster. Viola.... very simple for my small *** frame. Have even trained my wife how to do it. You bigger boys might have an issue though.

I'd be in for a set of these if someone starts making them for the LWB's in the gt4 and gt3rs.

I'd be interested if someone ever makes them. I had them for my GT2 style buckets as well. But it's not really for me. I egress and ingress similar to the way Bronson described. It's more for the passenger and other people who drive my car.

I have the RL special alcantara covers on my GT2 buckets, they've been great. I'd love a similar solution given how unobtainable these seats even if you wanted to replace them.

If not, there's always this seat prophylactic.

I would't worry about it. The covers slip right of the backing and the bolsters are easily replaced.

No affiliation, but I am ordering some from Frank @ Exclusive Option - he is up in Northern California. Good guy, and very neat product. It matches the stitching, too. Here are some pictures of the bolster protector that he just sent me. My RS has yellow stitching (coming) and my Spyder has red stitching.

I have had him do stuff for my 991 GT3 in the past - great quality.

Good luck! Frank is a nice guy - stay on top of him - he is a busy guy so might not get back to you right away...
