I picked up a set of 245/35/19s and 295/30/19s on my BBS wheels for my GT4 for the next track event in 2 weeks. Those hot pressures look really low. Why run the hot pressures so low? I was thinking 32/33 hot.

It is a bit strange however we have noticed that overall tire temps on these get a bit hotter than a PSC2 so leaving them a bit cooler results in a bit longer life on these.

FWIW: My short experience with Trofeo-R is that since they seems to build more heat, compared to MPSC2's, you need to let out more air of them:

Which also means that if you are taking a session break you might need to fill up with air in between sessions as these tires might be more sensitive to low pressure.

From what we have seen from our clients - if you run it about 3-6lbs less on the track (or go about 2lbs less with nitrogen) it seems to be a lot more comfortable

Let us know if you need more! We got PLENTY in stock!

Not going to lie, that is annoying. The car will have 90-120 minute time intervals between run sessions and there is no air hose at the track that I'm going to. How quickly do the tires take to warm up? Maybe I'll drive around the parking area for a few minutes before the new session starts and take it easy for the first few laps to warm up the tires.

Sounds like a lot of people are tying these tires, are the lap times faster than MSC2, and by how much if so?

Yup. I had to deal with this issue when I ran trofeoR. Too much time in between sessions, and you are now too low on tire pressure and need to either take a long time to warm up to add more pressure only to bleed it back out again. The tires are very fussy

I'm faster on mpsc2 by about a second and also have much more consistent lap times with mpsc2 because of how finicky the trofeoR are.

Unfortunately with the 19 inch GT4 sizing I don't have a lot of tire choice. It was either R888s or Trofeo Rs. I wish I could get NT01s or MPSC2s.

Martin, you my want to try the Bridgestone RE71R they are much better than the 200 tread wear rating.

Yeah that is a problem. Might be better off just sticking with 20" for now until more options show up.

Have you tried running these with Nitrogen? With pure nitrogen - you should be able to not have as much change in air pressure - that way you can put this within a lbs or two of OEM and hit the track. As long as the nitrogen is not diluted, then you should have consistent PSI.
