Well, he is not cleaning the car...he is directing 'visible air' ('smoke'...or 'technical gas') on the car in a wind tunnel at Weissach to capture airflow to determine, for example, the coefficient of friction (COF) on this particular .2 997 gt3 RS!

An excellent illustration of why the Wing needs to be mounted higher, preferably at roof level on the GT3s, to maximize the airflow around the wing and increase its effective downforce.
I remember when UV was first shown on RL. It got killed. I think Vivian and I were the only two who liked it. Now it's the hottest RS palette color. I don't think I've ever seen a color trend do a 180 this quickly.
Cultural memory is short-term. Barney is extinct in the collective consciousness. So UV can be cool. I foresee double-pop Polos becoming the garb of world leaders one day at white-tie events.
I am not a flashy, jelly-bean-color guy, but I do dig UV.

I have been doing multi-pop Polos since my college days in Philadelphia. I stopped counting at eight one time! Had I gone to prep school, I would have been able to do at least 12...since that's how you are taught to dress at Groton, St. Paul's or Phillips Exeter! As you know, it's the dress code back East in certain social circles:
I am, however, back to doing just a single-pop polo at this point in my life!
And unlike you neuroguru, I do have a reputation as a 'flashy, jelly-bean-color guy' here at Rennlist! And so does Dr. Wolfgang Porsche! And I am confident the latter would also dig a 991 gt3 in 'Ultraviolet'!
Location: The way to hell is paved by good intentions “Wenn ich Purist höre...entsichere ich meinen Browning” "Myths are fuel for marketing (and nowadays for flippers too,,,)" time to time is not sufficient to be a saint, you must be also an Hero
Monkey Chris has spoken and said nothing Could he consider
a review based on Porsche invitation??? He S not free nor interested in providing any reputable review but just push ppl to buy buy it!
Otherwise to be serious he would have awaited 2 months to grab
a dealer RS not the official P launch
So worth discuss any argument being his pseudo
-review Empty and only badly masqueraded marketing
That beautiful Blue 997 at the end is Aqua Blue? Or which color? I guess Purple shade is a reflex of the wall

Eduardo,
That has to be one of the most stunningly hilarious images ever posted on RL or any sports car forum ever. Long live the 80's. He is probably about to jump in a red 16v VW GTi.

Thank you for the kind post!

You were not the only one 'collecting' these sartorial alligators. In my days in high school (1964-1968) and college (1968-1972), Izod marketed these French polos in the US, but we never referred them as 'Izod'...mon Dieu! They were 'Lacoste'...and we always coveted the ones actually made in France!
As I wore mine down to 'threadbare' over the years of use, I really hated to throw out my Lacostes! Finally, with great sadness, I would ceremoniously cut the 'Alligator' off and throw then in the top drawer of my dresser...
...next to my antique English leather box with my collection of Paul Stuart silk knot cuff links! I must have had 50 pairs of those!
I still have them around (the alligators & the cuff links) in some old suitcase in storage! A reminder of my once 'colorful' youth!
