Some of you may recall from an earlier post that I came about my new GT3 from a customer backing out of an order. I was perfectly content in my 2011 GT3 when I got a call from my salesman at Blue Grass Porsche. "Hey, we've got a brand new 991 GT3 coming in next week, racing yellow, interested?" And, that one call is what got me to where I am today.![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
After negotiations we came to an agreement and viola, I am a owner of a new 991 GT3. Unfortunately, there was not enough room in stable, or bankroll, to keep both so the 997.2 had to go - sad day.![crying](https://rennlist.com/forums/graemlins/bigcry.gif)
The 991 came in on Mar 16, we worked out the finances, and the deal was done. So, why don't I still have the car? Well, that's partially my fault. You see, the car had a LOT of yellow, and that concerned me a bit. To break it up I wanted to get a stripe kit (KI Studios; had them on 997.2), and Kyle was backed up due to a large event in CA, so I had to wait; didn't want the car until it was done. Finally, this past Monday stripe kit came in.
The dealer went ahead and did the clear bra (about 80% of car) along with window tint, LED clear side markers, Rennline pedals, and got indoor car cover while we waited for stripe kit. Now I'm ready...right? Well... not just yet. You see, being the **** clean nut, and knowing it was going to rain today and tomorrow, I decided to hold off the 'pick up' until Sat. Ugh!! I am dyin' here (self-inflicted). I see these pics and am REALLY wanting to drive this thing. I tell myself to chill out, Sat will be here before you know it, and so will DE season. Whew! Hang in there.
Anyway, rather than waiting to get the car home, I wanted to go ahead and share a few pics now (ok, so I'm proud, don't hold it against me).
Thanks for all the input this group has provided. I've been a regular on the 997 GT3 board for some time, and have now made the transition here. Lots of good info and I am sure I will post some questions (if I cannot locate through search) on things I learn/discover about the car.
Oh, and I am actually starting to really dig the racing yellow.![Big Grin](https://rennlist.com/forums/images/smilies/biggrin.gif)
Cheers!

I'm feeling your pain, my RY has been at the dealership for a bit, won't be picking it up for at least another week or so due to my house and garage renovations/painting etc. and I certainly don't want the car parked on the street. My time is getting closer though. Congrats on the car and I love the stripes b/c I'm thinking about doing the same but not sure what colours to use. Did you have any other colours in mind or were you sold on the gray right from the start?
