Do you have the delivery date nailed down yet? Asking because I am working on getting PTS with mine but the delivery date might change it since we are setup for Euro Delivery. Would like to hear how your conversation with the dealer went to get this setup.

From my notes, v110 = IMP Text handling required. I'm not exactly clear what this means, but it sounds similar to what KYRocks reported (see three posts up). RLer Race7117 may have information for you, too, as I believe his RS was at this status at one time. I assume you did PTS? v110 seems to be PTS-related.

Yep the V110 is standard fare for cars put into PTS status, once the color is approved and a time is allocated for the specific color and model car then a switch back to V200 with delivery date. I think they try and group similar color cars together so if a bunch of 991s are going to be painted "mexico blue" or what ever they can do them all during a similar time for cost controls. V110 is simply a status so that they can approve and plan accordingly.......I think

This is what I heard too. PTS will be grouped together for production/cost purposes. I also heard that if there are single orders or low requests for a particular color it will not be approved.

"With the addition of the Paint to Sample on your order, I will not be able to confirm a delivery date for you until the actual paint has arrived at the Porsche factory, which could be anywhere from 4-8 weeks from now. I can continue to reserve a date for you, but I will not be able to guarantee or lock in your delivery until the paint has arrived. Given my experience with paint to sample and European Delivery, I am not terribly confident that a late September or early October will even be feasible with this configuration. I am sorry I do not have better news for you. Please let me know if you would like to continue to reserve the early October delivery I currently have on hold for you or if you would like to consider changing you reservation to a late October delivery to ensure we can get you scheduled. Either way, the date will not be guaranteed until the paint arrives at the Factory. Thank you for your understanding."

What about those Pre Approved colors that was posted already? It must be a nightmare trying to get the cars through production guaranteeing every car get's the options it was ordered with. I never seen another car company have so many options.

If I'm driving an RS at Spa and Ring I really don't care what color it is..

Mugello, Monza, Imola, Barcelona maybe even Ascari but we have to get over the Alps..

But so far, no reply about what my pickup date would be in Purple....

My V200 Lava Orange went to a V170. My original build was August and now awaiting build dates based on color. They will lump the colors together and build them in sequence. Based on the number of people looking for PTS, it may be a while. If however there are a large amount for a certain color, some folks may get their car earlier. Since my build came shortly after the 918 cars, it is not likely mine will come earlier.

My GT silver is holding so far. PTS cars are cool but tend to delay production.
