Mark, so sorry to hear about the devastation to your home, the loss of your pet, and the uncertainty and concern for your friends. It's a small consolation, but know that there are a lot of folks here who have you in their thoughts.

Sorry for your devastating loss, especially your pet.
I recently lost my nearly 13 year old dog to cancer and it was heartbreaking.
All here hope your staff and friends are safe. Property loss is awful too but can
be replaced.

Gents. I'm at LAX with my wife heading to NZ in shortly then trying to find a way out to Vanuatu.
Truely thank you for all your concern. Last 18 hrs a nightmare for us and mostly the folk on the ground in our small island nation. They are saying this could be the most powerful cyclone/hurricane RHD Pacific has seen on record.
I won't sugar coat it the few I've spoken to by mobile as the eye closed in and the few on sAt phone after tell me it was a direct hit on our capital where we live and the damage unreal. The road we live in is coastal 8 mile long and almost 1 mild has slipped into the water - our road is impassable other than by foot!
First feedback indicates we have lost a property and another severely damaged and we have lost our pet. My folks who were holidaying there are ok but we are very concerned for our staff who were in the village. I'm sure a number of folks there have perished. Filled up on drugs water purifiers etc in LA today bought extra suitcase and will be buying chainsaw and more supplies in NZ.
Our lives have changed for ever in a short moment. All of a sudden Porsches don't seem in the least bit important anymore (my cars are kept in storage in NZ where they have roads!). Our concern now is for our staff their families and the people of vanuatu.
Thanks for all your prayers my brethren. My little nation needs all your good vibes. Will talk soon perhaps in a few days time...,,

Macca, I'm glad you and you family are ok. I'm sorry about your pet.
It's hard to think about good that comes out of hardship but know that something will. Have faith in that. Until then, my wishes and good vibes being sent your way.

Macca and Jo have landed in NZ and are about to fly to Vanuatu. The family are safe and the pet has been found. I'm sure He and Jo will be lifted by the messages here. The next step is to assess the property and infrastructure damage. Most important is power as bore pumps need this for potable water etc. We'll know everything is good when he starts to post.
