RS Total US Allocations Best Estimate 1200-1500 units

Unless there is some substantive reason for Porsche not produce cars well into 2016 there will be another round of allocations toward the end of this year. At this time it is likely that more options will be available, including PTS for those so inclined, and there should be a much better market climate to obtain a car at MSRP. If that doesn't happen and there are no more RS's available then so be it.

There may be another round of production. One variable, does it cost Porsche more to produce the RS than they get for it? If so that would be a reason to reduce quantity produced.

I just hung up with my dealer and asked him that IF he gets more allocations for 2016 to please let me know as I want PTS and ED.
All ED through August is sold out, I couldn't even order a Macan for ED till September.
He again said that he double checked but this time it is different and he expects no allocations at all beyond the ones he received.
I don't believe it, but just to confirm this is what dealers are getting told.

For those of you following along:
Step 3. Dribble out a few more allocations and let slip the rumor "We may not build anymore"

Came back from my Porsche Exclusive appointment today. The current production projection for the GT3RS run for the world is 2500 cars. There are very strong demand from markets like UK, Germany, Japan, China, so PCNA is now hoping they can get a total of 900-1000 cars for the entire run.
If you haven't gotten one yet, there will be more coming, but not as much as the previous 997.2 GT3RS.
PTS is available and 918 customers will receive their PTS GT3RS cars before the end of the year (about a 2-3 months delay compared to the normal colors)

I think that dealer is wrong here....I am told by PAG that they can produce both cars if need be when dealing with same platform (991) and it's just a .2 version. They cannot produce both if factory is retooled for new chassis in an all new version of car but that will be long after the .2.

Now this is not including the special "Cup Edition" with limited production. My forecast there is an additional 500 to 600 units WW for a grand total RS production of all variants of 3000 units- satisfying their vendor volume commitments.
Edit: To your comment on 997.2 RS imported to the US- we will at least double that volume. Total production will be much more as well.

We rec'd 50% of 991 GT3 production. 2500 units is right in line with my projections- 50% of that is 1250 for the US. Now this is not including the special "Cup Edition" with limited production. But that's the 1RS I'm interested in!

Does anyone know how many 991Gt3s did they made in total?
