Talked to my dealer today and as expected, he went on to tell me that they were hoping for 450 RS this year and his rep told him they will only have 250 for the U.S.. So frenzy will build the rest of this year until regular production of 2016 models. By this time next year I am sure we will have plenty of allocations available. But for now the hysteria continues.
OMG!!! only 250 available!!! you'll never get one!!! buy anything available over list!!!!....
patience grasshopper.

Spoke with my dealer yesterday, they are estimating 600 cars will be allocated in total to the US, with roughly 250 cars allocated for 918 owners, about 100 cars to PCNA corporate (to be distributed at their disposal) and the rest to dealers. This means, some smaller dealers won't even get 1 RS in the first year. Some of the bigger dealers like Champion, will get more than 1 RS, on top of the cars they will receiving for their 918 customers.
I spoke with another customer who has bought 4 cars from my dealer, was the first one to put down a deposit for the 991 GT3RS two years ago, and was told he will be charged "over sticker" on his RS (which will be arriving after all of the 918 owners cars gets delivered). Somehow this just doesn't seem right to me....

I am patiently waiting for an allocation, but my spot is not that up front in the line.

Good for you to be able to secure one of the 2(Not counting the 2 918 slots) allocations at the Vancouver dealer.
BTW, are you sure you want Lava Orange? Right now all 4 cars are in Lava Orange.
Langley is getting the other 2. Total in Canada will be under 60 cars.

A local (San Diego) dealership has 3 production slots for GT3 RS. Supposedly with bids already at $30K-$40K over sticker (!). I had my name in the hat but got a GT3 in January instead.

When I was calling around in the SoCal area looking for a spot on anyone's list. I spoke to a mgr at Walter in Riverside. He told me they have sold all their initial (non-918) allocation for $50k over. I hung up the phone on him

North Dallas Porsche told me they have (2) 918 RS buyers that gave the cars to the dealership for whoever wants them.
BUT....they want to buy your current 991 GT3 and charge $50K over premium on the RS they sell you.
Screw that, but if anyone here is willing I think you can lock the allocation today.

I thought about color long and hard. I don't like white car. So I only have gt silver, orange and purple. Then I want black wheels. So I only have silver and orange. I like the silver a little bit darker like agate gray. So at the end I picked orange. I guess orange will be the most common color for 991 gt3 rs. I also like Kermit green but PTS will take longer. So I just picked orange.

I hope you guys are keeping a list of all the dealers charging over MSRP so we all know where to never shop again, and to tell others to avoid. The only way to stop this, short of Porsche showing they give a crap about customers, is to hit the dealer's business.
