The first of these is the Turbo Florio, which has a name that is a clever play on words. The car name bears a resemblance to Targa Florio, the rally race dating back to 1906. So as the name suggests, the car is a turbocharged version of the 911 Targa, a combination Porsche itself doesn't offer. The car makes 630 horsepower and is available with rear- or all-wheel-drive.
Next up is the RGT 4.2, which is very similar to Porsche's own GT3, just a little more so. The car has a 4.2-liter naturally-aspirated flat-six that makes 525 horsepower, it also comes with a roll cage installed.
Next up is one of those extensively modified models, the CTR 3 “Hippie.” The car has some obvious Porsche roots, but is mid-engine with a completely new body. Power has also been bumped up to 777 horsepower.
Last is the range-topping RTR. This is something akin to the GT2, during those rare periods when Porsche is actually building one of those. The 3.8-liter flat-six is turbocharged to produce 802 horsepower, which it sends through a six-speed manual transmission to all four wheels. The roll cage is already installed, as with the RGT 4.2. Big carbon ceramics are used to bring the car to a halt, more or less a necessity with the top speed being 218 mph.
I've always been a huge Ruf fan....since 1987 when the Yellow Bird trumped all competition in the Top Speed shootout.
But....IMO, these new models do not look good
That front bumper looks like it was designed by a 9 year old; round intakes mixed with rectangular intakes.
Ruf used to be very understated with their signature wheels & remodeled bumpers. But I'm guessing their customers must want more outlandish designs.
I'm sure they'll be great drives with massive performance, but from asthetics view, they're off the mark.

Not that they have service and support in the states but just for kicks anyone know what my dream car ^^ starts at? With this euro is might start to resemble sane.
If a Ruf can get financed and offered some support in South Florida, I'd go for broke.
You know as well as I do that the big money down here would go for any F- car over any Ruf. It seems that Ruf's presence in the US rapidly diminished after the economy went south in 07-08. However, I agree that they produce a terrific car.

i agree with you. i discussed the same issue with them so i want to share my point of view here.
we've all noticed the market change in today's automotive world. in general, the age of the owners are much younger now. majority of them want things that look wild & crazy. i've also ran into people telling me RUF is nothing but a company only makes boring 5-spoke wheel & modified bumpers.
personally i'm not a fan of the new style but i respect other people's taste. rest assured it is not a direction of the company, but a case study RUF created something that other customer requested (i believe the car is sold anyway). i look at a way that they can make things happen like no other can, which is cool.
don't worry. they still build good looking cars in our eyes. that's my grey car in their lineup.
Too much damned BHP from these cars aren't even going to help them on the track as Top Gear proved when they raced the British and German car for a mile. They had that one modified 9ff whatever and it was one of the last cars to finish. Not unless you can also change out the the gear ratios with kinda of power it all means nothing.
Sure heel and toe are fun but it's all antiquated compared to flappy paddles. And I have still not heard of a consumer PDK that can handle 777BHP - yet!
