Default Tire Pressure

Does any one know if they put in nitrogen at the factory. I find it strange I have seen no change in cold pressure readings even with some major outdoor temperature changes.

No. Nitrogen is not factory fill. The temperature does rise and fall unless you have a faulty sensor. Put your car out in the sun one side facing the dun and other in shade for an hour and you will see...

Rough number from Michelin is for every 10F increase in temperature the tire will gain approx 0.7 psi.

This is based on air - I don't really like nitrogen as it's just not practical to maintain it. Very easy for me to just switch on my compressor at home for a top-up.

That and the fact the air is mostly nitrogen...

It does provide some stability in pressure but not enough to make a difference for the hassle for daily driving and occasional track day.

Porsche OE factory air is nice and dry and approx 78% nitrogen.

No it does go up with driving the car. I'm just surprised there are no losses in pressure as ambient temperatures drop.
