OT - 2016 Audi R8
I hate to say this but I'm up in the air on whether I get a 2016 r8 or the gt3 RS. Both will be around 180k I'm guessing (I'd get the v10 plus). I'm number one on both of the lists.
Two totally different cars but damn it looks like it will be good. I have owned an r8 and a gallardo and they were okay compared to my 991 gt3. Just drove the Huracan and fell in love but 300k is too much for me. Too bad I can't afford both.

Options for a powerful but classy NA sports car, (not just GT cruiser), have become very slim outside of 300-400K F12 or Lamborghini.
If you will take your car regularly to the track as I do, then there is no question. It must must be a Porsche GT4, GT3, or GT3RS.
If you don't track your car, but want a powerful but classy NA sports car, and you don't want to pay Lamborghini money or F12 Ferrari money, then the R8 is now becoming a much more attractive option in 2015 and beyond because BMW, Mercedes, and Ferrari have gone to the dark side and will no longer offer NA aspirated M3, AMG SLS, or 458.
The 2016 non GT Porsche 911 models will all be turbo, and Porsche is placing a stiff price on the relatively measly 500hp RS, that will be great on a track, but not so good off it.
I track my car regularly, so the 991 GT3 is perfect for me. I don't believe the R8 would hold up to regular track abuse like the GT3, or be as fun/capable for regular track days, as my GT3.
However, if you don't plan track your car, but want a powerful but classy NA sports car (not just a GT cruiser), then the R8 becomes very attractive, particularly as you can get a screaming 610hp/415 torque V10 NA engine, in a car that could used as DD, or for b-road blasts, weekend trips, dates, theater, etc.
You can also arrive in understated style at the theater or office, but without an enormous RS wing, or harsh ride of the 991 RS.
In the new forced induction landscape of modern supercars, the NA R8 looks much more attractive.

Easy choice personally as I track my cars, so 991 GT3 for me.
I was never that keen on the R8 in the past. I always thought to buy a 911 variant or I would jump over the R8 to buy a proper supercar.
However, I now recognize that the R8 is a real option to consider with almost all the other supercars going turbo, particularly as the second gen R8 now offers 610 NA horses for half the price of a supercar.

A 8,850 redline V10 sitting right behind you is pretty appealing for the money.
Sure the RS will probably make more financial sense long-term and even short-term, but a high-revving V10 is more emotionally appealing than a 8,800 redline flat 6.

I have tried really really hard to like the Audi R8. Love the styling (esp the rear at night). I've driven the manual, the old R tronic, and the new dual clutch. It's just an OK car. I considered a coupe and a spider. I wanted one as a DD and very occasional track car. The car is just numb. I can even say that the 991 TTS is more fun to drive and much more agile. The R8 understeers like crazy. It does sound better than the TTS though. I hope the new one is miles better, but I wouldn't bet on it. The performance numbers look good on paper though.

New '16 R8 with 610HP is far from another car.
I'll say it again, GT3 and '16 R8 would be great pair. No need to have GT3 and GT3RS.
For those who say they don't like R8, you have not even seen or driven 2016 (complete revamp), so I'd hold those thoughts until you DRIVE one.
