best not to have dealer install aftermarket parts.

Find a good local indy and use them for tuning the car.

I disagree if you have warranty on your car. If anything happens to the car and the dealer installed the aftermarket part you are usually covered.

Default Don't Feel Bad

My dealer is actually pretty good, but we went around and around on the job. I sent them the directions from SW, and I didint have time to take the car to a buddies shop to install. Hell I just spent 160k, and they gave me some free stuff and a great deal on my trade. So I said what the hell .......see picture and yes he took, 4 hours I watched most of it while chatting with the guys in the bay.

^^^ You have to be kidding me. This is what they did to install SW!

Wow--I'd never use that shop again. It's a 45 minute job at best.

Serious man ..........I had to travel and didn't have a lot of time. They called of the clear bra guy , and the tint guy. I had the SM pull out the install guide, and yes that was the directions even for the 991. Now of course they can not go by the book, and I actually like the dealer. But honestly I don't like someone telling me my job at my place of business. This was the first 2015 that hit the lot last October, and possibly a revised shop guide is out now. Therefore I hope this makes you all feel a lot better. The guy took his time, and well I can say it was well done(:

This is the main reason I jack the car up and do it myself. It seems dealerships are largely made up of a bunch of people that don't like cars.

I'm sure they just tried to charge you the OEM muffler swap book rate. Good thing you were there.

My dealer installed mine free of charge and they didn't take the bumper apart. You need to build a relationship with your dealer.

Definitely find a local race shop that specializes in Porsche to do stuff like this. I'm lucky, Bill Rudtner (who is the head instructor for Metro PCA and also races himself) has a shop in the next town. He's got a cult following at his shop. See if there is someone like that around you.

North Houston is actually very good but definitely stay away from Momentum. I called Momentum service for cost and schedule of an oil change for my GT3 and the service adviser asked me which Porsche that was. Try C & B European Automotive. Craig is familiar with GT3's. He did my Shark Works mod with rear bumper in place in under one hour. Oil change was $37 plus oil and parts which he let me bring. West side of Houston.
