** MY JET BLACK GT3 - ARRIVES (PICS & VIDEO) ** FINALLY!!
Fourth 911, third 991, first GT3.
It’s been sitting at the dealer in NY for over a month waiting for transport on Intercity. Won’t go into them right now, as I’m too excited about the car. Let’s just say Intercity needs to learn how to communicate with their clients.
This is one of those “I lucked out” stories. After searching for my next car (went through 6 last year) and looking at everything under the sun (458, Lambo (still may add Huracan), TTs, another R8, Z06, etc, etc), nothing was standing out. For some reason I had not paid much attention to Porsche (except maybe TTs), as I had been through plenty and they were not exciting me. Well, spent time on the Internet, here, reviews, etc and I was SOLD—GT3 it was. Perfect balance of raw, trackable, DD, unique, etc…
Now the hard part was finding one. Went through the normal BS like everyone—call dealers, get the mark-up run around, call other dealers, they laugh when I ask if any in stock. I literally called or emailed almost all 185 dealers in the US trying to find a black/black. I lucked out as it was Dec 31st and a dealer got back with me saying a custom order came in, person passed and it had to be sold today (to make yr end number)—music to my ears. The better part, negotiated a nice deal (year end talks) and specs were 95% exactly what I would have ordered.
Car arrived today in Austin (finally after 4 weeks) and will get the full paint correction, Xpel, window tint, etc. Not a huge track star like most here, so will enjoy it primarily for a-cross, driving the Hill Country roads and other fun stuff. Since I don’t have to drive to an office everyday, it can be a quasi-DD, but have other cars that fill that gap as well.
Took it for the first 75 miles and just WOW. Literally I don’t know what to say. Will review in depth later—for those that say this is NOT a DD I have no clue how you can say that (however--I have not sat in traffic yet). So smooth, yet raw, easy to drive, comfortable, did I mention fast as **it, and OH MOMMA that power—there is NO way I’m making it through the entire break in period—NO WAY!
Any who, here she is before all of the goodies…enjoy (sorry complete overcast day in Austin today).

Thanks guys! Already made 5 trips to the garage to stare at it...man if I didn't have back-to-back calls today it would be over the 300 mile mark by days end.
Weekend forecast looks yummy!

The car looks fantastic. Nice build.
My wife wonders why it takes me 20 minutes to take out the trash.

Congrats.
Well done.
(And, fwiw, your Mod #1 was my mod numero uno as well.)

I usually find black/black boring, but that is very nicely spec'd with the painted nipples, red interior touches, and CF trim.
