I find it hard to believe they would charge you the sales tax again given you already paid it in FL. As valorem tax is akin to a property tax, not a sales tax. For 1,400 I would be keeping the car.
Mine was $9.5k for a 2015 GT3....which I will be deducting on my tax form for 2014.

Spoke to a BMW dealer Finance mgr and he confirmed that when you bring a car into state and register it- you will owe 7% on the market value of the car whether it is owned or leased. Imagine I have a BMW M3 with 18 months left on a lease and I have to pay $4k.
