Default Rumor about the Sport bucket seats

I was told yesterday by a Porsche dealer agent that the sports bucket seats will only work on the GT3 2015, and will not work on GT3 2014 and retrofit will not be possible or very difficult.

Is this true?

odds are they would work. The guys who have had both seats/model years out like GMG would be able to answer.
The cost of the new buckets will be a deciding factor for most. There is some great seats avail for a fraction of the high cost (unknown) LWB

if all the necessary parts are available such as the rails and mounts, those seats will work. did the dealer explain why they won't work? unless those buckets do not have airbags? but that kinda sensors can be disabled. those seats will also work on platforms other than 991 too.

Unless they changed the harness clip and/or occupancy sensors for one model year (which would be insane), they should work. Not 100% certain, but I think the buckets were not available in the first 997.2 GT3's then were available later and retrofit into all.

Default Buckets

I actually know someone that swamped them out in his 2014, they are a oem option so why wouldn't they fit, the 2015 is the same as the 2014
You can order a set from teile.com
