...and I think you pay a lot more for fuel. I hope they've come down from their highs.

In my area for 93 octane No Ethanol gas is hovering around $2.25 gal. Regular gas is $1.75

This car was still sitting in the dealer's floor as of 1 pm yesterday. The car looks really really nice. The GR combo with gloss black wheels is striking. I was told car will go for MSRP. Nice op for someone who did not get an allocation or just recently decided to take the plunge.

For anyone interested, I recommend John Price at Orlando Porsche. Good guy, good reputation.

Maybe the extended range tank can be retrofitted?

The tank could for sure be retrofitted. It is just a formed plastic tank. Cheap compared to the price of the car.

I think you get close to 17 gallons in the standard tank, no? Even for a guzzler, that's really not bad.

You are correct, 63 litres = 16.67 U.S. gals or 13.88 imp. gals
90 litres = 23.80 U.S. gals or 19.82 imp. gals

Surprising car hasnt been sold yet. If I am not waiting for a car, I would be interested to grab that car.

Car still there. As pointed out std tank is not small at all. PCA had their meeting at the dealership today and the club members were all over the car. I have to think it will sell within the next day or two. I have dealt with Heiner Blumenberg on two occasions. Very good experience.

Agreed. Definitely a well-spec'd red car (other than the tank thing... must have been an oversight).

For anyone interested…this car is available again. Only 160 miles and $10k over. Ask for Andreas.

Just makes me laugh now...

Went in to my dealer yesterday for a few things and saw a 918 sitting there. They said they had sold 4 of them and then 4 more RS allocations to go with them. I asked about pricing and they said all 8 cars were sold at MSRP. That the policy of the conglomerate in town (Audi/Porsche/Jag etc.) was to never sell over MSRP. Gotta love the Midwest...

A lot of dealerships have a policy of not selling new cars over msrp, but preowned cars are a different story.
