GT3 values, and Chris Harris speaks marketplace

Interesting to known. I come from the LH world. I assume that with a 50% market premium there has to be some escape valve. Either from other RH drive markets or even LH. Just MHO when there serious market pricing dislocations.

consider also tha 991 GT3 Engine is not only the Best Water cooled Engine ever produced before the Big Electric Era
but it has also been produced in much much less number compared to any primitive 997 GT3 GT3 RS tentative before the 991GT3 perfection
I bet on 991 GT3 as an investement more attractive

While CH is my favourite car journalist and clearly a talented driver, his calls on car values have been way off.
Before he sold the RS 4.0, he owned a 993 GT2, and sold it to buy a Ferrari 12 (599 I think). That value delta soon turned upside down, and just increases daily.
Prior to selling his 993 GT2, he also wrote an article in GT Purely Porsche where he speculated that 993 GT2 values will never breach the value of the cheapest Carrera GT. Not too long thereafter, 993 GT2 prices eclipsed CGT pricing.
Very good car journalist though.

VERY FALSE the speed of pistons in 9a1 GT3 is the highest ever and higher than any Mezger so 9a1 GT3 is the race Engine here

UK has had small allocations of GT cars in recent years for whatever reason. I tried to find a 991 there and all sold out. In contrast you could get one from any dealer here with a discount off msrp. No problem with LHD there other than inconvenience. IMO the situation there is just shortage of supply - not helped by some RHDs being exported to Asia. Agree this is a UK-only anomaly..

Go buy your mezger, bubble wrap it, stroke it, and brag about how it's a race engine while it never actually leaves the garage. In the mean time, I'll be enjoying my car

the nonsense you see in the market with 997 GT3's price rising has ALL to do with it potentially being the last of the manuals and nothing to do with the motor. you are correct the market has spoken, youre just incorrect as to what its reasons are for speaking.
Porsche buyers are ponying up for the last of the manuals (so they think) not the last of the mezgers.

If Porsche makes available a manual in the RS I would be curious as to the take rate. IMHO the RS will be a serious track car. Take a manual and see the talilghts of those with PDK? Spend close to $200k only to be guaranteed not to win?

Win what? I wasn't aware there were ever any ongoing street GT3 RS racing series although I admit I could be completely ignorant as to the existence of one....

Ok let me take that back...let's say that when you get on a track you will see the tailpipes of other RSs with PDK. Maybe I am too competitive but even when I play a board game I am out to WIN. If the object is to take the car around the track and not post best times then I agree.
