Is rumored to be coming... I'm thinking it will compete with the Cayman GT4.
Supposedly 1400KG and 450HP. No back seats. Wing as you can see plus chin spoiler.
Suspension upgrades.

That will undoubtedly be a fast car, but I'd be shocked if they can drop that much weight and still make it US street legal. Also, quite a bit larger (and front-engined) to be compared to GT4.
I tend to think of a 2-series (M GTS version?) or non-hybrid i8 to be closer in concept to the GT4.

If you're going to lose the back seats, I just don't see the point of the car. It seems like the only person who would buy it would be a BMW zealot. Why not just get the Cayman GTS, corvette, 911, lotus, used GT3, M2, or any other car built to be a track toy?

meh. had a 2015 M3. flipped it after 2k miles. too soft, too heavy, too much tech, hated the electric steering and power delivery, too much noise for noise's sake, too hammer-like when I was hoping it would be more like older M3's. a great daily driver if that's what you're after.
