Every one wants to make a GTS now. The AMG looks pretty killer but the reviews have not moved me. Plus, not cheap for a third car for me

I am more interested in seeing the new M2. I hope it is at the Chicago car show in Feb.. I just think it has an interesting price point for a third car but would like confirmation on weight and HP.

The 2 series shares its platform with the 3 and 4 series (with some length removed), so it really cannot save very much weight from those cars. As for HP, it also will have to be a comforable amount less than M4 to preserve model heirarchy (like Porsche does with Cayman and 911). So, you can guess that it will be slightly lighter and a fair bit less powerful than M4 in order to have worse power to weight ratio. My guess is ~3,200 pounds (real world) and ~380hp with plenty of turbo torque. Of course, it will also be a comfortable amount cheaper than M4 so it will offer good value and will be a peppy performer.

What do you think medium term means? Not 2017 like it was initially discussed I guess...

M4 is not NA.. Power response, sound, all these things become artificial and counterintuitive. The list of naturally aspirated cars is getting shorter.. But they always win in my book. Gt4 anyone
