it's really irrelevant. b/c if you can get one, you should be very happy. especially in bay area where we are fighting with 15 yO tech kids who has no kids and live a apt thinking paying $150k over is nothing.
some of the VERY BIG hitters, not me, here are buying 991GT3, 2015 RS and 2016RS if there is one to hedge their bets.

Per one of the heads of PNA, there will be a 2015 and 2016. Reason due to the delay in completion of the GT3 the production for the GT3RS will run into both 2015 model year and the 2016 model year. This was from two months ago when i discussed this with PNA. Of course as we all know, things change. There will be GT3RS for those that don't have a 918 but not a lot.
