VW Golf R pre-order slots were released today. I grabbed one as I need something for my son's nanny. However, I might need to switch it to a beetle now...

Maybe it is a test mule (camel?) for the new model.

I believe the Golf and Beetle (as well as Audi TT) share the same platform, so a Beetle R could be quite the sleeper (maybe with the Audi TT RS 5-cyl turbo motor )

That would be awesome. I think VW needs to do it to bring the Bettle back...

Speaking of the 5-cyl, hopefully Audi makes an announcement on the RS3 soon. Would love to pick one of them up as a practical and fun car...

RS3 has been in the open for a while, just check the German site: http://www.audi.de/de/brand/de/neuwa...sportback.html
(I even found the price €56.600,- on the mobile site, no idea about $)

Yeah, sadly just no announcement on it in the US. We still only have the RS5 and RS7 here. Would have loved an RS4 Avant too.
